WHITE LAKE LEISURE MINISTRY

— MISSION PURPOSE AND GUIDELINES —

MISSION PURPOSE:  The Purpose of this ministry shall be to search for and provide opportunities through which the Bladen Baptist Association mayshare the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with those individuals who may visit, reside, or work in the resort/recreational areas of Bladen County.

MISSION GUIDELINES

1. An effort will be made by the committee and\or the committee chairperson to provide worship leaders whose lives reflect high Christian integrity and who will exalt and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through word and example.
2. It is to be remembered by all worship leaders that this is a resort ministry under the auspices and direction of the Bladen Baptist Association and therefore is not to engage in the ordinances or functions of the local church, such as Baptism, The Lord's Supper, licensing or ordaining. Such matters should be referred to a local church according to individual preference.
3. Worship leaders should before leaving the worship site, be sure that the area is clean and free of litter, and if possible leave in better condition than found upon arrival.
4. The Resort Committee will make every effort to provide needed resources for ministry such as sound system, tracks, VBS materials etc., and possible discounts on meals and lodging when needed.

5. Services are to be conducted only after approval of the ministry chairperson/director and/or the Resort Committee. This is very important in that local camp managers must give approval for such services. If this policy is not followed, opportunities for ministry in the campgrounds could be jeopardized.

 6. Offerings may be received during any worship service for the purpose of supporting the Bladen Baptist Resort Ministry.
Monies received through gifts and offerings shall be turned in weekly by the worship leader to a person so designated by the resort committee. These funds will then be deposited in the resort ministry account and dispersed under guidelines set forth by the resort committee.
A report shall be made to the association annually or as requested by the same.
7. Each campground minister or worship leader shall work under the organizational structure of the Bladen Baptist Association and the Resort Ministry Committee.
8. The Committee Chairman is authorized by the committee to direct this ministry under guidelines set forth in this document and other guidelines as the committee may deem necessary.

All churches in the Bladen Baptist Association are urged to participate in this ministry. Any church or individual within the church, who wishes to share in this opportunity to minister is asked to contact the committee chairman/director for scheduling.
